Louisville Basketball: Chane Behanan Apologizes

Louisville head coach Rick Pitino announced Monday that Chane Behanan will no longer be on the basketball team. Behanan has had his fair share of chances to get into Pitino’s good graces.

The official reason for dismissal is for violating university policy.

Behanan said in a press release sent out after the announcement, “I want to apologize for letting down my family, teammates, coaches, Tom Jurich, this university and the Louisville fans.”

Pitino said in the release, “We are all really, really disappointed that Chane will no longer be a part of our basketball team.”

The junior PF came to Louisville as a highly recruited McDonald’s All-American. He was a huge part of Louisville’s championship run last season, especially with his rebounding late against Michigan.
