The Louisville basketball team have their second long break in their conference play. A break that Rick Pitino isn’t thrilled about, but can use it to his teams advantage. Louisville will have a scrimmage Saturday to help the team get over the long hump in their schedule.
Louisville will play Temple on the road next Thursday.
With a record of 19-4 and 8-2 in conference play the Cards can still make a long run in the NCAA Tournament, but they will have to work on some things first.
Before we get to what they need to work on, let’s see what they are doing well.
-Louisville is first in points per game in the AAC conference with 82.3, they are also 16th in the nation in point per game.
-They have made the most three-point shots in the AAC with 187, with a percentage of 37.3 percent. They have the best three-point defense in the conference with 30.4 percent.
-The are forcing the most turnovers in the conference, with 17.3 per game. With a team assist to turnover ratio of 1.44.
-Louisville is fifth in the nation in steal per game with just under 10 a game.
