Slightly over 24 hours we will all know the fate of Kentucky freshman Julius Randle. Randle has set a 1:30pm press conference this Tuesday afternoon the University confirmed.
It is expected that Julius Randle declares for this summer’s NBA draft after helping his Wildcats return to the Final Four. CBSSports.com Gary Parrish also believes from his sources that Randle will indeed forgo his sophomore season at Kentucky for the NBA.
Randle averaged 15 points and 10.4 rebounds for UK. He totaled 24 double-doubles on the season, second most in NCAA history by a freshman. He is expected to be a consensus top-5 pick in the draft.
Head coach John Calipari did say to Andy Katz of ESPN that he still doesn’t know what Randle is going to do but most believe, including me that’s just a cover for Randle to have his own moment. We will see Tuesday afternoon. #OneMoreYear
