Junior college defensive end Pio Vatuevei signed with the Louisville Cardinals Thursday night. The 6’2″, 280 lbs. linemen was playing at Washington until he was dismissed from the team for violating team rules. He had nine tackles in his freshman year at Washington until he hurt his knee.
He picked Louisville over Colorado, Fresno State, Arkansas and a few others.
Vatuevei was a 4-star prospect coming out of Patterson High in California. He had offers from USC, Utah, Arizona and of course Washington.
He is currently at College of San Mateo in California. JUCO highlights HERE. He also has interest from Colorado and Fresno State.
Pio Vatuevei is a former Washington Husky. He’s 6-2, 285 and picked U of L over Colorado, Fresno State, Arkansas and others.
