The sky is falling! The sky is falling! No, Kentucky just lost a February game in Rupp Arena.
It isn’t easy to be the head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats, John Calipari knows this very well. There is not much wiggle room for the Cats to lose too many games, especially when you start the season by say, “We are college basketball.” So the loss to the Florida Gators at home Saturday night has not made the Big Blue Nation too happy, being just a month away from March Madness.
Calipari and the team boarded their plane to Mississippi today to be ready for the Ole Miss Rebels Tuesday night. Before he did he spoke to the fans and the critics via Twitter.
Just boarded our plane and about to head to Ole Miss. We’ve had two really good days of practice since Saturday.

As I told our team, our goals remain unchanged. What Saturday showed me is we can compete with and beat any team in the country.

Now we have things we have to correct, especially late in games, but as I told you about our 2010-11 group, I like my team.

I like our fight, I like how far we’ve come and I like what we can still do. My hope is we are playing our best ball in March.

The game Tuesday starts at 7pm on ESPN. Will Cal’s team have fight? Will Marshall Henderson go off in his own arena? Will Calipari still like his team? We shall see.
