Football season is just three games away from completely being over as the AFC and NFC Championship games will take place this Sunday the 19th. Your AFC match up will showcase the Denver Broncos versus New England Patriots while the NFC has the Seattle Seahawks taking on the San Francisco 49ers.
Currently, three former Kentucky Wildcats, all Bronco teammates and two former Louisville Cardinals, Seahawk teammates are all fighting to reach Super Bowl.
Linebackers Danny Trevathan, Wesley Woodyard and tight end Jacob Tamme are the former Cats padded up for the Broncos. Trevathan totaled 87 tackles, 2 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 3 interceptions during the 2013-14 campaign. Defensive teammate Woodyard tallied 84 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 1 interception. Over on the offensive side, Tamme accumulated 184 yards on 20 receptions for 1 touchdown.
For the Cardinals, former offensive tackle Breno Giacomini and defensive end Greg Scruggs represent for Seattle. Scruggs has been on the PUP or physically unable to perform list. Giacomini was drafted in 2008 and has played and started in nine games this season.
